Hanhan is a giant furry monster created by Taiwanese artist Shihan Huang, and serves as the artist’s namesake character. Soft, expressive, and a little offbeat, Hanhan feels both strange and endearing at once — a larger-than-life creature whose color shifts with its emotions, making every feeling immediately visible. Though technically a monster, Hanhan is never frightening; it is funny, slightly mischievous, and quietly comforting, with a presence that makes complicated emotions feel more playful, tangible, and easy to connect with.
Meet the Artist
Shih-Han Huang (Taiwan) is a rising contemporary artist recognized for her soft, pastel-driven characters inspired by cats and everyday emotion.
She has exhibited in major regional fairs such as KIAF Seoul, Art Taipei, and Design Festa Tokyo, and her work has been collected across Asia. Shih-han Huang is celebrated for her delicate fusion of illustration, sculpture, and intimate storytelling.
